EL CONSEJO DE BREVE INTENSIDAD COMO MÉTODO PREVENTIVO CONTRA LOS HÁBITOS TÓXICOS EN EL EXAMEN DE SALUD DEL SERVICIO DE PREVENCIÓN DE RIESGOS LABORALES
Estanislao Cabrero, Encarnación Posé
The Fagerström questionnaire, the alcohol consumption survey and the
general questionnaire on life habits (that includes the CAGE
q u e s t i o n n a i re) are showed as a base to the brief intervention against
tobacco and alcohol consumption among the working population.
These tests take between 5 and 10 minutes and they can give the first
thoughts to abandoning the nicotine habit and also do well in alcohol
intake of non risk or absti-nence among heavy drinkers.
The immediate consequence that must be hoped is a rise in the of health
our working population, because of the decrease of the sickness rate, the
accident rate and absenteeism, and premature mortality.
To incorporate this practice among the Prevention Services of
Occupational Risks is encouraged.
