Fabiola García Campos y Mª Carmen Segura Díez
The study main objective is to analyze the influence of variables related
to the parents’ educative style, in the adolescents' drug consumption
who are attended in the “Servicio de Orientación Familiar en Drogodependencias”
[SOFAD]. The sample is made up of 26 young people of
both sexes, with an average of age of 16 years (77% male and 23% female).
The descriptive analyses shows that the young people’s families are
guided by flexible rules whose breach does not bring consequences, or,
rules for which do not exist a suitable definition and the fulfilment
degree is low. In these families the values related to the social success
predominate as economic or material success and the communication
guidelines are characterized by the uncertainty and the distrust. One discusses
to the relation between the educative styles and the consumption
of substances, proposing strategies of communitarian prevention that
sensitize and increase the participation of the parents in the educative
centers and improve their implication in formation activities related to
the prevention.
