This paper's goal is to review the main working areas in the field of
drug-abuse from a gender perspective and analyse the recent contributions of the
scientific literature. Taking into account some differential epidemic data, the
author approaches in a first chapter the etiology of the problem. The following
sections offer a critical vision of the prevention, the treatment and the research of the problem of the drug-abuse within the feminine community.
